MEMBERS 2012
Members shown with ® signifies that they are fully registered to participate on the tour.
All
members on the Handicap Offline Tour will be classed as fully active and have
a green status indicator once the required number of events have been
played and only at this time will they become eligible to win a
Handicap Tour event. Status levels are only applied to the Handicap
Tour as the additional tours for Pro and Champ/Elite are both played
off scratch.
Membership on Handicap Tour is now shown as 4 separate levels. As new members or players changing to a new swing/skill effectively have to serve a 3 event 'q-school' period they will be allocated the appropriate membership level and they will be placed on handicap leaderboards initially in order of membership level and then by their scores and thus receiving the appropriate earnings for that position. This has been done to avoid new members who are shooting well above their handicap whilst participating in 'q-school' denying the actual winner of an event receiving the appropriate level of earnings. Once the 3 events have been completed, the player will attain LVL 1 fully active membership status.
Any fully active players missing/failing to complete 5 consecutive events become in-active and are classed as LVL 2 status.
At the end of the season, any players who joined the tour but have not participated in any events will be removed from the tour.
Any player winning a regular Handicap or Scratch Tour event will be shown with © (on the relevant Money List) which also grants them an invite to the Champion of Champions event at the end of the year.
Any non-event winning players after the conclusion of the Tour Championship will be able to participate in the Challenge Trophy
but only those with fully active tour status will be eligible to win the respective Handicap Tour events.
Players returning to a previously used swing/skill will return with
their previous playing handicap for that particular swing/skill and receive a LVL 2 Handicap Tour status.
Players returning and changing to a new previously unused swing/skill will receive a LVL 4 Handicap Tour status and the introductory handicap of 5.
Players changing swing, skill or both will receive a LVL 4 Handicap Tour status and the introductory handicap of 5.
HANDICAPS 2012
All
new Offline Tour members or members changing to a new swing/skill
(whether the skill level has changed or not, from their current
setting) will receive a starting handicap of 5.00 and the appropriate
tour status applied, which is then adjusted based upon scores
submitted. All handicaps are rounded up/down as required, with any
player on a handicap of ?.60 being rounded up eg. 2.60 plays off 3.
Any player reverting back to a previously used skill level, will resume
at the handicap as it was at the time of the prior change.
Players play all 4 tournament rounds off the same handicap, with adjustments applied upon the conclusion of each event.
Each round is adjusted based upon net score submitted compared against
the TRAS (Tournament Round Average Score) where the net scores of any
players shooting +5 or better in a round are used to calculate the
adjusted par for that round. The adjusted par can never be in excess of
2 shots more or 4 shots less than actual par. Adjustments for handicap
increases and decreases will see the number of shots below the TRAS
multiplied by 0.11 and the number of shots above the TRAS multiplied by 0.04 to a maximum reduction of 0.25 per round and a maximum 1.00 per event.
With
this revised system any players not completing all 4 rounds will still
receive handicap adjustments based upon the scores submitted.
A further reduction may be applied for new members/skill changes only
based upon observation of their scores, but this ruling will only be
applied in exceptional circumstances. |
